Buy One, Give One: Olga's Joins with Gleaners to combat food insecurity

text

From Monday November 27th through Wednesday November 29th,

Olga’s Kitchen is working to help solve hunger this Giving Tuesday through a partnership with Gleaners Community Food Bank. For each Original Olga purchased by guests dining at Olga’s from November 27 - 29, Olga's will donate the equivalent amount of ingredients found in the Original to Gleaners. We predict that more than 130 cases of fresh food will make its way to Gleaners as part of the Buy One, Give One offer.

“Olga’s knows that guests love our Original Olga, and we are counting on them to enjoy our most popular menu item to help our friends and neighbors facing food insecurity,” says Ryan Jones, vice president of operations at Olga’s Kitchen. “Our partnership with Gleaners will allow us to address hunger in our own backyard.”

“Gleaners works every day to ensure that households across Southeast Michigan have access to nutritious food,” shares Angela Halverson, director of global engagement for Gleaners. “Partners like Olga’s Kitchen are vital to achieving our mission and addressing the increased need during the holiday season and beyond.”

Gleaners helps to connect trusted partners offering nutritious, high-quality food to those facing hunger in Southeast Michigan. In the fiscal year 2022, Gleaners distributed more than 47 million pounds of food to people in need across Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Livingston and Monroe counties.
